Carlton Ingram began his career in 2004 as an Assistant Director for the Democratic National Committee’s Grassroots Campaigns fundraising office in Philadelphia, PA. In January 2005, Carlton joined Aetna as an Underwriting Analyst on the Mid-Atlantic New Business team working on Key Accounts in Middle Market. In 2006, he was promoted twice; to Senior Underwriting Analyst and Underwriter, respectively. During this time, Carlton worked on more complex cases including ASC with Stop Loss cases and Integrated Delivery Systems.
In 2007, Carlton joined Stockamp & Associates (now Huron Consulting Group) as an Associate Consultant. His responsibilities included improving the Revenue Cycle Management processes at Texas Health Resources in Dallas, TX. In 2008, he was responsible for improving the Insurance Verification process at the Veterans’ Affairs Mid-Atlantic Patient Access Center in Asheville, NC.
In 2009, Carlton re-joined Aetna as an Underwriting Consultant working on New Business Key and Select Accounts. In 2011, he was promoted to Senior Underwriting Consultant. In 2012, Carlton joined the Public and Labor team as an Account Manager. In 2015, Carlton was promoted to Senior Account Manager.
Carlton is the Co-Lead for the Baltimore-Washington chapter of Aetna’s African-American Employee Resource Group.
Carlton graduated from Temple University with a Major in Legal Studies and a Minor in Health Systems Management. Carlton also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.
